We are relocating some printers for closer proximity to grade level needs. The locations will be as follows:

 PLC Dates

We have added vertical dates to the PLC schedule. These dates are set for special area collaboration, only. SPED will not host vertical meetings this year, unless set for a specific reason by the sped dept. The dates for vertical are: Sept. 16 and Nov. 11th for first semester.

We have also added para meetings to the PLC schedule. This time will allow our valuable team of paras to collaborate and share their voice in the overall happenings of CRE. PLCSchedule2016-17 (1)

Volunteers

We will welcome school volunteers and guests beginning on Sept. 6th. Please be sure to share this information early on with families. This will give us the time we need to solidify routines throughout the school day.

Principal Pop In

We will be coming by each classroom on day one to pop in for a brief meet and greet. It is always exciting to get our first look at the class lists with live humans. The excitement if building!!!

Playground Update

The new equipment and mats are being installed!! It is happening!

First Day

First grade students will go directly to classrooms on the first day. We need all hands on deck to help with student flow from busses to classrooms. They will also be coming in from drop off #7 and need assistance in the first grade hallway. First graders will then begin their regular gym/breakfast routine on day two.

2nd and 3rd will begin with gym/breakfast routines from day one

Mock Dismissal

10:00 a.m. on Aug. 16th, we will call when we are ready to dismiss CRE students. All bus students will go to their busses, with assistance from classroom teachers. Car kids will go to the respective pick up zones for review of expectations. Prime Time students will go to the gym. Students will practice their plan for transportation for day one during the mock dismissal.

Recycling

Thomas will be managing our recycling on Wednesday’s of each week. Please have your recycling ready for pick up on Wednesday afternoons.

Read to Classes

Please schedule a 20 minute time for me to visit your class and share a book. You are welcome to schedule this time with Evelyn between Aug. 22nd and Sept. 30th.

Duty Training

We will host a brief duty training in the cafeteria, immediately following our faculty meeting on Aug. 11th. Once the duty schedule is shared you will know if you are to attend the training session.

Bucket Fillers

Jana Payne is making her presence known down the 3rd grade hallway. It is no doubt she has the work ethic to fit in well with our high performing team. She is here, a lot, and working hard to prepare her classroom for students. Welcome to our CRE Family, Jana!!!

Nancy Brashers, Whitney Mosley, and Daralyn Scroggins have stepped up to serve their team well. As grade reps, a lot of details fall on their shoulders. They were troopers to step up during the leadership team meeting and begin to take action, immediately. We are in good hands with these ladies as members of our leadership team. #heroesintraining

Nurse Leigh Ann is already coming through for us and she hasn’t even reported back to work yet. What a gift it is to reach out to her as an expert in her field with a request and her reply to be so pleasant, prompt, and student focused. You make us better, Nurse Leigh Ann!!

I am thrilled to spend some time with our new CRE teachers at workshop 101, visit with friends at the article club meeting, and check in on our PBIS team as they prep for the year ahead. I will have to find time to check on the progress on the playground 3 or 4 times as well. It is a busy day here at CRE!!

Let me know what we can do to help you in the days ahead! Here to serve!
